Photograph your street on Sanitation Day

Every Saturday is Sanitation Day across Lagos. Open the EcoLag app and tap "Take Photo." Take your BEFORE photo first this records the current state of your street.

Cleanliness Scoring

Every photo receives a 0–100 cleanliness score. AI analyses visible waste, drainage condition, pavement state, and surrounding environment.

Fake Image Detection

AI-generated images, screenshots, stock photos, and previously submitted photos are detected and rejected. Every image must be a genuine real-world photo.

GPS Verification

Both before and after photos are GPS-tagged. If the location doesn't match your registered LGA or if the photos come from different places, the claim is flagged.

Time Gap Enforcement

A minimum 30-minute gap between before and after photos is required. This prevents people from submitting both photos without actually cleaning anything.

Yes — completely free. No subscription, no hidden charges. You register, upload photos, earn points, and redeem rewards — all at zero cost to you.
Which phone do I need?
Any smartphone with a camera and internet connection works. Android or iPhone, old or new — as long as you can open a web browser and take photos, EcoLag works for you.
Can I use someone else's phone for photos?
Yes, but the EcoLag account must be yours, and the photos must be genuinely taken from your registered street. The AI verifies photo authenticity regardless of which phone is used.
What happens if my photo is rejected?
If the AI confidence is low, your upload goes to manual review. If rejected, you receive a notification explaining why. Common reasons: not outdoors, poor lighting, or location mismatch.
Why do I need to verify my ID?
ID verification is a one-time step required before your first reward redemption. It prevents one person from creating multiple accounts to earn multiple rewards. You only do this once — ever.
How long until my airtime is credited?
Redemptions are processed within seconds. Once you confirm a redemption in the wallet tab, the airtime or data is sent to your registered phone number almost immediately.
